Meet Bhuti Wangmo, one of that artisans at The White Yak.She is the creator of The White Yak's woolen Mustang pangdens. She is from the Lo Mantang village, a part of the high desert of the Himalayas and has been weaving since she was fifteen. In her village it is tradition that the older women teach the younger women to weave pangdens because it is a main source of income for them. The wool she uses is from Mustang and Tibet, dyed the traditional ways, and woven on her handmade loom used exclusively for her pangdens.
